Dr. Tae Joon Lee is a general and cosmetic dentist at SMILELOUNGE. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree through a competitive 7-year accelerated program at New York University College of Dentistry. He graduated in the top 10 of his class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, a distinction awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and character.
He completed his General Practice Residency at Woodhull Hospital, where he received comprehensive training across all aspects of general dentistry, including endodontics, aesthetics, and implantology. Deeply committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Lee has completed advanced coursework in implant dentistry and sinus lift procedures through AIC Education by Hiossen Implant and Great Implant Academy (GIA). He is also certified in Invisalign, TMJ therapy, and therapeutic Botox.

Dr. Lee is known for his compassionate approach, placing patient comfort and clear communication at the center of his care. He is efficient, attentive, and dedicated to creating a positive dental experience for every patient.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Lee is passionate about global health outreach and regularly participates in overseas dental missions, providing care to underserved communities around the world. He also loves to travel with his lovely wife, Ava.
